{"id":1208,"date":"2017-06-28T11:43:20","date_gmt":"2017-06-28T11:43:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/support.servicesight.com\/knowledge-base\/travelling-to-jobs-on-the-mobile-app\/"},"modified":"2023-08-24T12:36:39","modified_gmt":"2023-08-24T11:36:39","slug":"travelling-to-jobs-on-the-mobile-app","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/support.servicesight.com\/us\/knowledge-base\/travelling-to-jobs-on-the-mobile-app\/","title":{"rendered":"Travelling to Jobs on the Mobile App"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Start Travel<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once a job has been accepted and an ETA entered, two additional options are available from the popup menu shown when a job is selected, the first is \u2018Start travel\u2019.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Navigate to the jobs screen, tap the job you wish to travel to.<\/li>\n<li>Tap \u2018Start Travel\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Enter a departure date and time.<\/li>\n<li>The ETA set when the job was accepted can be update at this stage.<\/li>\n<li>Starting Mileage &#8211; enter the start mileage for the trip to the job. This would be necessary if billing the customer for travel mileage.<\/li>\n<li>If the \u2018Start Navigation\u2019 option is checked at this point, then when the \u2018OK\u2019 button is tapped, the application will launch Google&#8217;s navigation function on the device.<\/li>\n<li>Tap the green \u2018OK\u2019 button to start travelling to the site.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.servicesight.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/04\/MobileStartTravel.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The jobs status is set to \u2018En-route\u2019 and its colour is changed to green.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cancel Travel<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the event that you are unable to complete the journey to the site, the travel to site can be cancelled.<\/p>\n<p>Navigate to the Jobs Screen.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tap the job that is currently on \u2018En-Route\u2019 status.<\/li>\n<li>Tap \u2018Cancel Travel\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>You can enter the reason for cancelling the journey by using the on screen keyboard.<\/li>\n<li>It is also possible to enter a new ETA.<\/li>\n<li>Tap the green \u2018OK\u2019 button \u2013 The job status will now be \u2018Accepted\u2019.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.servicesight.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/04\/MobileCancelTravel.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Arrive on Site<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The time a technician arrive on site can also be recorded, this will update the travel time on the job and change its status to indicate that the technician has arrived.<\/p>\n<p>Navigate to the Job Screen.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tap the job that is currently on \u2018En-Route\u2019 status (you cannot be En-route to more than a once job at a time).<\/li>\n<li>Tap \u2018Arrive On Site\u2019<\/li>\n<li>On opening, the screen will display the arrival date and time (this is generated by the current date\/time held by the device).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.servicesight.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/04\/MobileArrive.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The travel time is also calculated by the device based on the start and arrival times.<\/li>\n<li>Any changes made to the arrival time will be reflected in the calculated travel time.<\/li>\n<li>If a Start mileage was entered this will be displayed and should be changed to the mileage on arrival, this will calculate and display the miles travelled.<\/li>\n<li>Tap the green \u2018OK\u2019 button \u2013 The job status will now be \u2018On Site\u2019.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Start Travel Once a job has been accepted and an ETA entered, two additional options are available from the popup menu shown when a job is selected, the first is \u2018Start travel\u2019.
