If you have used the \u2018Save &amp; plan\u2019 option when creating a new job the system will open the Planner map automatically for you and pinpoint the location of the new job so that you can assign it straight away. Alternatively you may have saved the job for allocation at a later time in which case you can open the Planner map from the menu bar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Opening the Planner Map<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/proteansoftware-my.sharepoint.com\/personal\/supportsystem_proteansoftware_co_uk\/_layouts\/15\/guestaccess.aspx?docid=04a0f966fbb87407195a6e1fcd5b95bed&amp;authkey=Acwk09x6VdoFYS7WG7UOBeA\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To open the Planner Map select \u2018Planner\u2019 on the menu bar at the top of the screen.<\/li>\n<li>The screen that opens will show a large Google map displaying the current location of your engineers &amp; any already planned jobs (1); a diary for the first engineer (listed alphabetically) for today (2) and in the bottom section a set of cards representing the jobs that need assigning (3).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/proteansoftware-my.sharepoint.com\/personal\/supportsystem_proteansoftware_co_uk\/_layouts\/15\/guestaccess.aspx?docid=019218d9f9d5041408c76a193f3932b9c&amp;authkey=AfbaFoMKOYRA2vFvU27eul4\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reviewing Engineer Locations &amp; Allocated Work<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Planner Map enables you to see not only where your engineers are right now but also what work they already have assigned for a given day (the default is today).<\/p>\n<p>On the map you will see symbols such as these:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/proteansoftware-my.sharepoint.com\/personal\/supportsystem_proteansoftware_co_uk\/_layouts\/15\/guestaccess.aspx?docid=1f91665cbe3d24d0594c70050b84f0ac3&amp;authkey=Afswvm6SFamHHTSWtjzttGY\" alt=\"\" \/>These pins show your engineers\u2019 current locations.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/proteansoftware-my.sharepoint.com\/personal\/supportsystem_proteansoftware_co_uk\/_layouts\/15\/guestaccess.aspx?docid=0079235ef3db143db99eb21ac42180295&amp;authkey=AQ9AF9hRtZaFOmKQGoeRltk\" alt=\"\" \/>These pins show the location &amp; order of the already assigned jobs. They are colour-coded so that you can easily see which engineer they are assigned to and display the number in the sequence of the jobs assigned to this engineer.<\/p>\n<p>You can click on the pins to open an information panel so that you can check the details of the job it represents.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/proteansoftware-my.sharepoint.com\/personal\/supportsystem_proteansoftware_co_uk\/_layouts\/15\/guestaccess.aspx?docid=0cdbb8af10f1f400dbc3c4092231e2642&amp;authkey=AY5Y6FzCZCPnyIZKn2wZ_dU\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To the right of the map is the engineer\u2019s diary. For the selected engineer you can see any jobs or activities already assigned to the selected engineer.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/proteansoftware-my.sharepoint.com\/personal\/supportsystem_proteansoftware_co_uk\/_layouts\/15\/guestaccess.aspx?docid=0f634d5e1946e4a76943ade47014f5cf1&amp;authkey=AXrCqQU5xLxSG2V1sC5q_00\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Viewing the New Job Location<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you selected \u2018Save &amp; plan\u2019 when creating a new job then the new job location will already be shown on the map. If you have opened the Planner Map from the menu then follow the steps below to see the location of the new job, or any job that is awaiting allocation.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click the card representing the new job you have created (or the job you wish to see on the map).<\/li>\n<li>A map pin will appear on the map displaying the location. A small map appears on the job card to indicate that it is being shown on the map<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/proteansoftware-my.sharepoint.com\/personal\/supportsystem_proteansoftware_co_uk\/_layouts\/15\/guestaccess.aspx?docid=0fa514da935f24fcf9b0dd36dc34f514b&amp;authkey=AVFk2eilZvJlsuabw-hw97Y\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clicking the card again will remove the pin from the map.<\/li>\n<li>It is possible to click all or a selection of the cards and have them appear on the map at the same time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Assigning the Job<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once you have decided which engineer to give the job to, based on their current location &amp; workload you can easily assign out the job.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that the diary panel is open to the correct engineer you want to give the job to. If not select the engineer from the drop-down list.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the diary panel is showing the correct date (the default is today). If it is not then use the calendar control to select the day you want to allocate this job to.<\/li>\n<li>Click the job card and drag it into the diary for the timeslot you would like to have it done.<\/li>\n<li>The job card appears in the diary &amp; disappears from the unassigned section at the bottom of the screen. A numbered coloured map pin also appears within the card corresponding to the same map pin on the map itself.<\/li>\n<li>That\u2019s it!
