{"id":3219,"date":"2022-10-21T11:34:47","date_gmt":"2022-10-21T10:34:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/support.servicesight.com\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=3219"},"modified":"2023-08-24T12:33:56","modified_gmt":"2023-08-24T11:33:56","slug":"managing-agents","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/support.servicesight.com\/us\/knowledge-base\/managing-agents\/","title":{"rendered":"Managing Agents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If your customer\u2019s sites are managed by a 3<sup>rd <\/sup>party, you can enable a feature called Managing Agents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To turn on Managing Agents<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to Settings &gt; General &gt; Settings and in the search bar type \u2018Use Managing Agents\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Click on the \u2018Use Managing Agents\u2019 setting name highlighted in blue.<\/li>\n<li>In the pop up box there is a button you can toggle to yes or no. Select yes and then Save.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3220\" src=\"https:\/\/support.servicesight.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/10\/Turn-Setting-On.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1416\" height=\"753\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>To Create a Managing Agent<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click on the customers tab at the top of the page and you will now see a green button called &#8216;New Managing Agent&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>This will bring up a pop up box where you can fill in details like the managing agents name, account number, address and contact details.<\/li>\n<li>Once you have filled this information in click the green &#8216;Save Managing Agent&#8217; button.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3224\" src=\"https:\/\/support.servicesight.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/10\/Create-Managing-Agent.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1416\" height=\"753\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Adding Customers To Managing Agent<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click on the &#8216;Customers&#8217; header at the top of the page and then select the customer you would like to add.<\/li>\n<li>In the general tab scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see a managing agent drop down.<\/li>\n<li>Select the agent you require from the drop down<\/li>\n<li>There is a tick box next to this called &#8216;Agent Appear In Job Invoice Address&#8217; only tick this if you will be invoicing the Managing agent rather than the customer direct.<\/li>\n<li>The click the green save button once you have done this.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3226\" src=\"https:\/\/support.servicesight.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/10\/Add-a-customer.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1416\" height=\"753\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If your customer\u2019s sites are managed by a 3rd party, you can enable a feature called Managing Agents.
