{"id":3259,"date":"2023-03-07T17:17:00","date_gmt":"2023-03-07T16:17:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/support.servicesight.com\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=3259"},"modified":"2023-08-24T12:33:39","modified_gmt":"2023-08-24T11:33:39","slug":"equipment-conditions","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/support.servicesight.com\/us\/knowledge-base\/equipment-conditions\/","title":{"rendered":"Equipment conditions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To assist asset-centred service businesses with tracking &amp; reporting on equipment we have introduced Equipment Condition indicators throughout the system to enable you to flag items of equipment, for example, as being in \u2018Good working order\u2019 or \u2018Out of action\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The system comes with a three tier \u2018traffic light\u2019 system which you can use, or you can edit and add to this list and create as many conditions as you need to support your processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Too edit an existing condition simply click on the condition you want to edit in the list in <em>Settings \/ Equipment \/ Equipment conditions<\/em>. The detail screen opens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here you can edit the name and description of the condition and choose the colour you want to use to represent it around the system. For example we set \u2018Good working order\u2019 as green and \u2018Out of action\u2019 as red, to get you started. You can also choose here if this condition is an \u2018Out of action\u2019 condition. Any condition flagged as \u2018Out of action\u2019 is treated slightly differently within the web and mobile apps so that jobs containing \u2018Out of action\u2019 equipment are highlighted to service controllers and engineers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To add a new condition simply go to <em>Settings \/ Equipment \/ Equipment conditions<\/em> and click the \u2018New condition\u2019 button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A blank detail screen opens, and you can enter a name for this condition e.g. \u2018Needs work\u2019, enter an optional description, select a colour and whether this conditions constitutes the equipment being \u2018Out of action\u2019.
