{"id":972,"date":"2019-10-21T12:37:27","date_gmt":"2019-10-21T12:37:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/support.servicesight.com\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=972"},"modified":"2023-08-24T12:35:24","modified_gmt":"2023-08-24T11:35:24","slug":"creating-a-job-quote","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/support.servicesight.com\/us\/knowledge-base\/creating-a-job-quote\/","title":{"rendered":"Creating a Job Quote"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Creating a Job Quote <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To create a new quotation click &#8216;Quotes&#8217; on the menu bar then click \u2019New Quote\u2019 in the top right<\/p>\n<p>You will see three tabs on the \u2018New Quote\u2019 screen <strong>Details | Job | Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1871\" src=\"https:\/\/support.servicesight.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/11\/SS-Creating-a-Job-Quote-1.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1884\" height=\"972\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Start on the first tab \u2018Details\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Firstly, select the Customer and Site that you need to create this quote for from the list that appears<\/li>\n<li>Next, select the contact for this quote<\/li>\n<li>If you have an order number from the customer then you can enter it now.<\/li>\n<li>Optionally, select the following dates for \u2018Requested date\u2019, \u2018Required by\u2019, \u2018Quoted date\u2019, \u2018Requested by\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At the bottom of each tab you will see a \u2018View quote\u2019 button. You can view the quote document as you are working through the tabs. The list here will offer the Job types that you have already created in the system in alphabetical order. You can create as many Job types as you need and add them to the system at any time.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the \u2018Work required\u2019, or work to be carried out.<\/li>\n<li>The flat charge and labour rates will pull through from your labour rate set against your customer. You can override these rates here.<\/li>\n<li>Add any \u2018Material items\u2019 required.
