Dashboard

Dashboard Overview

The ServiceSight Dashboard is your window both into the system & to your business. It is the first page that you see when you log into the system every day and the screen that you will probably return to most often.

The Dashboard offers easy routes to your vital data, quick & simple ways to add new jobs & customers as well as insight into your businesses performance & efficiency.

All of this is achieved through five types of widget that can be added to your Dashboard. Each user can customise the Dashboard in terms of what widgets are added and where they appear. You can also limit access to certain widgets through applying security roles if needed.

This article will focus on using the Dashboard widgets and other article will focus on customising the Dashboard.

The Five Dashboard Widgets

  1. The Global Search Bar

The search bar is a powerful entryway into your ServiceSight database. Here you can start typing any part of any customer name, contact, job, invoice or reminder and the system will quickly return any matching records.

In the above example you can see that from typing the word ‘building’ the system has found a contact, customer, some invoices, jobs & reminders. Simply click the entry you wanted to go to that screen. So if you were looking for the customer ‘Building Supplies’, I could even just type ‘build’ and then click on the entry ‘Customer Building Supplied Ltd’ to go to the customer record.

  1. ServiceInSight – Business Intelligence Charts

Your ServiceSight system comes preconfigured with 10 KPI charts & graphs to give you insight into your business. These charts represent the most important information you need to help you grow & develop your business as well as improving customer satisfaction, cash flow and engineer efficiency.

Most charts feature the ability to drill down to see further detail. You can see this by the small button in the top left-hand corner of the chart featuring an arrow pointing down. You can click here to drill down or click on a section of the chart instead.

  1. Outstanding Job Statistics

This widget consists of four tiles. Each tile shows the number of jobs currently in each range of job statuses.

  1. Quick Create Buttons

This widget adds four green buttons to the Dashboard providing a quick create facility for the four main parts of the database without having to use the menu bar at the top of the screen.

  1. Engineer Status Carousel

The Engineer Carousel widget allows you to see what your engineers are doing, what jobs they have assigned currently & next and also a tally showing how many jobs they have finished of the ones assigned for today. It also links you to the engineer planner board & map as well as providing quick links off to the jobs being worked on today.
